Hand impact socket drivers are used to turn and loosen rusted, frozen, and overtightened bolts and screws. They have a large shaft that connects to a socket that is placed on the head of the fastener to be loosened. The shaft on the socket driver is struck with a hammer and the shaft rotates the socket to loosen the fastener.
